How to Create a Natural Hair Oil Mix

When my girls were younger, I use to use "grease" on their scalp and hair. Not only did they experience dandruff, I discovered that the grease actually clogs up their pores and create product build up.  Now that I know better, we use hair oils.

I create my hair oils based on what is going on with our hair and/or our current situation. For example, I added Eucalyptus oil because the girls are back in school and Eucalyptus Oil is great for preventing lice in the hair.

  1. While i do not believe in oiling my scalp, oil mixes are great especially if an essential oil hits it,used peppermint once and liked it.Will try adding it to my coconut and olive oil mix.Nice vid,as usual.

  2. I don't really have an extensive oil mix like yours. I mixed a little bit of eucalyptus in my jbco for my edges (and sometimes to seal my hair) and use coconut oil for the rest of my hair, oil rinsing and deep conditioning.

  3. I don't have a self-made oil mix. But I occasionally use one by DooGro that does NOT contain mineral oil - lol, I checked to make sure the ingredients looked okay.

    1. That is so cool that DooGro have an oil mix with no mineral oil. I use to use it when I was relaxed.

  4. Can you believe you inspired my current oil mix?

It currently contains coconut oil, olive oil, eucalyptus oil, tea tree oil, lavender oil, glycerine and castor oil.

I made sure it suited my hair needs.
