Celebrating Natural Hair Stylists

Hello!

We, at African Naturalistas, like to celebrate those stylists out there who take the time and energy to properly care for our natural hair - be it from TWAs to Locs to Natural Hair brides. In our tab above, we have a section where we would like to have a large database of natural hair salons and stylists in Africa. So today, all we're asking for is your recommendations in the comments!!! It could be you yourself, if you style hair, or your favorite salon to go to. It could be a salon dedicated to natural hair, to locs, or even regular salons that are natural-friendly. So please, just leave a comment so that we can help African Naturalistas all over our beautiful continent look good, while having their hair adequately cared for!

I'll start with my 2 favorites in Lagos, Nigeria - O'Naturals in Ojota, who did my bridal hair and KL's Naturals in Ikoyi, who's just awesome with styling and pampering my curls.

You can also post for stylists in countries where natural hair care isn't readily available, such as in Asian or some European countries.

    1. You mean Tunmise Natural salon, not Tummies? Hmm. Maybe we will find someone else who has gone there, to get a second opinion. Haven't encountered any of their customers.

  2. I have been to Tunmise Naturals too and the reception I got from the owner was awful. She is just so unfriendly. I hate leaving negative comments but I just have to put this out there

  3. Though I am not a fan of salons, I really love O'naturals and KL Naturals. They are so creative, and the owners are fabulous. I also like the way they shared themselves across the mainland and Island, lol.

  7. I have been to Tunmise Salon several times and the reception was not bad, the owner was really friendly and nice. The only reason I don't go there anymore is the price and i know it's not just their salon.
