Healthy measures for your hair care

Hi Naturalistas

I'm sure we are well acquainted with the fact that we are a combination of what we consume, I will like to also add that our lifestyles play very important roles in our overall outlook. Every single cell of the body is a function of what we put in (and of course, put out)
It is really a case of  'garbage in, garbage out'
From your nails to your skin, your internal organs and even your hair, employing  healthy measures to care for your body will go a long way.

Here are a few things to consider:
- Choose healthy foods and keep your meals balanced
Malnutrition usually tells on your hair just like it does on your entire body. Your weak hair may not necessarily be a question of genes like most people would quickly say "being natural is not for me, I have bad hair"
Maybe all that you need to grow better hair is just to pay attention to your food.
Make sure your meals are not lacking any essential nutrients.
Proteins are important for building up your cells and tissues. Invest in them.
Do not neglect your essential vitamins and minerals too.
Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Supplements are also effective in helping you meet the daily requirements.

- Drink lots of water
Dehydration can lead to your hair cells drying out and this can lead to hair loss. Water forms the base for cellular components.  When we talk about moisture for your hair, we are talking about water, in as much as we pay attention to applying moisture topically, also endeavour to moisturize inside out. Do not allow the hair cells to dry out.

- Exercise
Exercise helps your body to transport fluids and nutrients across all its parts more rapidly. Aerobic exercises (e.g jogging, swimming, hiking) will help transport oxygen to the cells in your body (hair cells included) thereby promoting healthy growth/regeneration.
Your body needs physical activity just like it requires food to function

In summary, the result of a healthy lifestyle will be a healthy network of systems functioning maximally. Hey! your hair is not left out
Think beautiful hair?
Choose a healthy lifestyle
Remember to keep your heads high and rock your kinks with pride

  1. Agree with every point! Healthy hair starts from the inside indeed. I need to get back to the exercising part though!

  2. Valid points.

    I know I don't drink enough water or eat enough veggies/fruits :(

Trying to restart my exercise routine, after a 4-month hiatus.
