A simple moisture retention regimen for Natural Hair

Source
Hi Naturalistas

As a naturalista we understand the need to ensure that the hair is adequately moisturized to prevent damage.
Here is my simple moisture retention regimen:

1. Aloe vera - Aloe vera helps to retain to moisture to the hair

2. Glycerine - This also helps with the hair porosity

3. A good conditioner - I use herbal essence hello hydration

4. Honey - Honey is a good humectant and also adds sheen to the hair

5. Hair mayonnaise -  I add the mayoinasse to add some protein balance to the mixture. Hair mayonaisse also helps to soften the hair allowing maximum penetration

I mix them all up, apply it to my hair, allow it to sit there for about 30 minutes. To speed things up, I use a shower cap or a hooded dryer.
Wash it out, add some leave-in-conditioner and seal it with wheat germ oil. Wheat germ oil is known to allow moisture retention

Remember to keep those tresses moisturized as you keep your head high and rock your kinks with pride
